Best Baseball Movie of All Time?

Last night I was watching "Major League" and it got me thinking of what everyone else thought was the best baseball movie of all time?  Some of the better ones that come to mind are "The Sandlot" & "Field of Dreams."  With the big splash that "Moneyball" made in 2011, it has to be at the top of most lists, especially those Oakland A's fans.  The list could go on for days, but let us know what you guys think is the top baseball movie of all time.

  1. "The Sandlot" is easily the best baseball movie of all time. Can you think of another movie that baseball lovers of all ages can enjoy? The movie captures the innocence of the game without involving the complexities that have tarnished its image in the last decade. "The Sandlot" is about falling in love with the game, no matter your skill level or ability. I think it speaks to fans and players alike - something so many movies about baseball cannot touch.

The above being said, I also think that the Spanish-language "Sugar" is AMAZING. I love the personal look at the experience of a Dominican baseball star and his attempt to ascend to the MLB. Its no "Sandlot," but provokes a tear everytime.

    1. "*61" a film about Roger Maris the year he hit 61 homeruns directed by Billy Crystal. Is an overlooked movie about baseball in those days and the trails and tribulations he had to face being the young guy in a town still in love with The Babe.

  2. "Sugar" is a great one, people often think all the kids that come of the Dominican are spoon fed up through the system. This movie shows the struggles that they all face everyday.
"61" is a classic as well, a lot of people wanted to see Mickey Mantle break The Babe's record, but instead Maris did and received so much hate for it.
