2012 Campaign

The 2012 MLB season is on the horizon and like always baseball fans are in for another great one!  Will the Cubs finally be able to end the curse?  Are the Detroit Tigers going to take the AL with Prince now in Mo-Town?  Or is the AL going to the Angels with Albert? Then again you always have to keep in mind them darn Yankees and BoSox out East.  And how about them Miami Marlins?? Will they be able to make it work with Hanley Ramirez and Jose Reyes, and the always entertaining Ozzie Guillen leading 'em? I know I can't wait to see if the Diamondbacks can repeat as NL West champs. Here's to a great 2012 MLB season for everyone's team!

  1. Things should be interesting across both leagues in the next few years with all the big names going to the "Big Name" teams. It has always been an issue but more so now that players from all sports are trending towards the big cities. Especially with social media and narcissism becoming so big. These days its not enough to be a great baseball player. Pro sports is becoming a popularity contest which attracts players to sign the big paydays and move to the big city. Even in the NFL an organization who has the most strict salary cap, we see the major cities having the best teams. So it is going to be a lot more difficult for the small market teams to get a break. Its sad to say but baseball will always be dominated by the big name teams, but there's always the classic "David vs. Goliath" match up in the playoffs the problem is "David" seems to be someone new each year.
